After more than twenty years of specialized public relations, marketing, communications & public affairs experience across multiple sectors, I decided to build the agency I always wanted to work for. Mulberry & Astor is a New York-based consultancy focused on delivering high-impact, integrated communications programs for non-profits, early-stage companies and established international brands. Named after the cross-streets in Newark, New Jersey where my grandparents lived, Mulberry & Astor represents, for me, captivating stories, strong family bonds, spirited debate and above all, passion.
I have deep industry expertise in technology, professional services, digital, entertainment, creative, non-profits, gaming and e-sports. This skillset, combined with my extensive experience in sustainability, business ethics, social purpose, CSR and diversity communications makes me a powerful ally for my clients as they mold and grow their businesses.
In addition to serving as a media and spokesperson trainer for CEOs, founders, entrepreneurs and other leaders to perfect their messaging and delivery, I’m also a frequent media commentator, weighing in on how brands can chart their course in this challenging and divided media landscape.
Prior to founding Mulberry & Astor, I was the chief marketing and communications executive at Edelman, where I led all external, internal and digital communications for the firm. I also previously led digital and corporate communications for Univision, creating and executing new technology product and network launches, social and digital media programs and cross-industry partnerships with Netflix, Hulu, Twitter, T-Mobile and the Clinton Foundation. I also served as the corporate communications lead for Accenture’s global business strategy, and as director at Grayling, where my clients included the truth Campaign, Coca-Cola, Capital One and Toyota.
I serve on several non-profit boards, including Farm Sanctuary (board chair), The University of Colorado Alumni Association, The Wild Bird Fund and The Trevor Project (2009 – 2018). I earned a BA with honors in environmental studies and Latin American studies from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and an MA in international affairs, with a concentration in economic and political development, from Columbia University. Having lived in Brazil and Chile, I am fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
