Staff changes and additions broaden the experience of the firm

Metzger Albee Public Relations (MAPR) has hired three new employees and promoted Amy Sigrest to Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Amy Sigrest, who has served as MAPR’s director of Digital Marketing for the last several years, will assume the position of COO. Sigrest will maintain her digital marketing duties while taking on the new role of COO.

“Amy and I have worked together for many years, and aside from being an outstanding digital marketer, her new role as COO will help MAPR raise the bar in providing an excellent client experience,” MAPR President Doyle Albee said. Sigrest joined MAPR in 2010.

Lindey Miller, senior account coordinator, brings more than ten years of experience, a breadth of knowledge of the community and an enthusiasm for creating the best experience possible with the client. “I love working with such a creative and talented team at MAPR, but building lasting relationships with clients is the icing on the cake,” Miller said. She most recently worked in marketing at Boulder Beer.

Amy Leger, account executive, joins MAPR after recently moving to Colorado from Minnesota. Leger has an extensive background: 14 years in the television news industry, 8 years blogging and 5 years writing for a national magazine. Leger earned a national Emmy award and National Headliner award for coverage she helped lead when the 35W bridge collapsed in Minneapolis in 2007. “We look forward to tapping Amy’s media experience to tell stories in the right media outlets for our clients,” said Albee.

Patricia Morreale also joined MAPR as a part-time junior account coordinator while she completes her degree in design, advertising and public relations from CU-Boulder. Her role at MAPR allows her to support staff members through hands-on public relations work. “I get to be involved in the industry in a big way, both behind-the-scenes and working with my coworkers to achieve MAPR’s business goals while also satisfying the needs of our clients,” Morreale said.
