Clip Interactive specializes in creative digital solutions that allow radio stations, artists and radio personalities to directly connect with their fans through an interactive digital platform tied to radio. In 2014, Clip came to MAPR to develop a public relations strategy surrounding the launch (in Portland) of the Clip Radio app, the first and only mobile app that lets a listener see and interact with what they hear on the radio instantly by “clipping” to get the desired content. Essentially, the company aimed to help make broadcast radio relevant in a mobile streaming era and came to us for help.
MAPR’s public relations efforts took Clip from the Portland launch and developed a successful and robust B2B public relations program in order to help Clip reach broadcast executives and other customers. We also developed several alternative strategies for coverage including contributed articles, comment releases, case studies and an editorial calendar.
As a result of the app’s launch, Clip Interactive was able to secure coverage in numerous Portland-area and top-tier outlets as well as several technology, radio, music and advertising publications. Samples of the coverage we helped the company secure include Radio Magazine, Marketing Sherpa, Media Post and Entrepreneur.
After a successful launch, we shifted the focus of the program to developing a robust and successful B2B program that helped Clip continue to get in touch with broadcasters, broadcast advertisers, content creators and other potential customers.
